News for 2009 Burin recreation Report for Tuesday, August 13:
The mega list was given out at the beginning of the year. We need to know 3 weeks before the mega starts who is interested. Could you let Allison know on the field or call her at 891-5252. Due to the referee clinic being cancelled, the under 4 and under 6 tournament will now be going ahead on Friday, July 17 at the Burin field. Could you please call the soccer hut at 891-5252 and let us know how many teams will be attending from your town. A schedule will be sent out tomorrow evening. We will start at 10 am. Burin Minor Soccer Update The Burin Minor Soccer committee would like to remind all parents that any cancellations that occur due to weather or tournaments will be announced on CHCM recreation Report. It is impossible to call every player about cancellations, therefore we are asking that you each morning to the recreation report for updates, etc. If at any time you have any questions or were unable to listen to the report please call the soccer hut at 891-5252. The schedule for the peninsula tournaments can be found directly below this update. All tournament game area 10am start time unless otherwise notified. The places are on the site but are subject to change. There is a bus provided for the under 12, 14 & 16 players. We are asking each player to bring along $2 to help cover the cost of the bus trip. Any concerns or issues please call me at 891-2394 or leave a message with allison at the soccer but and I will get back to you. In order to make this program a success, we all need to work together for the sake of the kids. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated to help improve our program. As well, the telephone on the Burin soccer field will have a recording updating any changes or cancellations in the schedule at 891-5252. We would like to make parents/players aware of the various sources of funding that are available to help kids afford to play soccer: KidSport - KidSport is a national, children's charity which provides funding assistance to families to enable their children to participate in organized sport. We have mailed more information about this program to all the clubs and more information can be found on their website, www.kidsport.nl.ca
