News for 2011 BPSA Minor Soccer Tournament Schedule This year we are looking for Parent Directors for each division. Directors of the Under 12, 14, and 16’s will be responsible for taking names of players interested in Megas, taking monies for the Megas and issuing receipts for those fees. If you can help us out please let me know. Any group without a PARENT DIRECTOR will not travel to the MEGA Tournament. Because there are tournaments scheduled for dates after we finish up for the season, we will have to have a couple of days practice before the teams go, providing there are enough players interested in attending the Megas. The Mega fee this year will be $25.00 per player for Under 8’s,10’s,12’s , and for the Under 14 and16’s, the fee will be $30.00 per player. These fees have to be paid three weeks before the Mega starts. There will be a four week deadline for fees to be paid prior to start of your Mega , and it will be strictly adhered to. The Mega will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian for transportation, meals, hotels, and so on. This will not be an all star team, and everyone is encouraged to take part. We are very excited to kick-off the 2011 soccer season in Burin. The soccer program will kick-off June 27th and ends August 17th. It will run from Monday to Thursday each week, however some tournaments may be scheduled for Fridays.
The 2011 Youth Tournaments are as follow:
Please listen to the summer recreation report on CHCM for any changes or cancellations in the schedule. As well, the telephone on the Burin soccer field will have a recording updating any changes or cancellations in the schedule at 891-5252. As well, please visit the Burin Minor Soccer website at www.burinminorsoccer.bravehost.com. There is also the Burin Peninsula Soccer Association website to check for updates to the Buirn Peninsula weekly tournament schedule at www.burinpeninsulasoccerassociation.com. There will be a $2.00 fee for each time a player uses the bus. This is to help offset the cost of the bus. The bus is for the under 12, 14 and 16 players around the peninsula. Please listen to the summer recreation report on CHCM for any changes or cancellations in the schedule. As well, the telephone on the Burin soccer field will have a recording updating any changes or cancellations in the schedule at 891-5252. We would like to make parents/players aware of the various sources of funding that are available to help kids afford to play soccer: Canadian Tire JumpStart Program - Canadian Tire JumpStart is a community-based
charitable program that helps kids in financial need participate in
organized sports and recreation such as hockey, dance, soccer and swimming.
